I can't believe it has a been a week since Art On the Lawn has come and gone, and we had another wonderful show. This year we had the largest turn out of artists since the show became a juried event. I heard a lot of comments from guests appreciating the quality of the artists' work. Thank you to all the participating artists for helping make our show a success.
The last few years we've had beautiful weather, and this year mother nature smiled on us again by giving us another rain free day. However, I think she finally decided that it was summer and turned up the heat a bit. The tall shade trees of Mills Lawn helped the customers escape the heat a bit. and there seemed to be a steady flow of customers all day long. Even with the warm temperatures most people had a great attitude and shared in my sentiment. "We shouldn't complain. It IS August after all." Thank you to everyone in the community that came out and braved the heat to support the arts.
It was wonderful seeing all twenty-two members of Village Artisans there pitching in to make sure the artists were taken care of. It was an amazing group effort. Big thank you's to everyone.
