Have you been by to check out our Dare 2B Square exhibit yet?   You still have 10 days to check it out.  Don't forget we'll be having our reception for the show Friday Oct 21 from 6-9pm at VillageArtisans. ( Yeah, we stuck to the actual Third Friday this month. We're rule followers.)

It should be lots of fun. Maybe we'll have a square dance. You never know!

Art Quilt Show

This month's  lobby show of Kate Burch's Art Quilts is in its final days.  

If you haven't been by to see the show in person, here are a few snippets of what you are missing.

Village Artisans outside of the Village

You know you can always see the talents of our members in our shop, Village Artisans, but quite frequently you can find their work on display in other venues.

The entire month of September you can find Kathy Moulton's work on display in Downtown Dayton. She will be showing at the Fifth Third Center as part of the Urban Nights event. 

Also, artisan, Sue Huff-Pleiman is the featured visiting artist at the Dayton Art Institutes's gift shop.  Congratulations to both Kathy and Sue!

I'm a wife a mother and a nurse. In my free time I love to create one of a kind African inspired art dolls. I'm really inspired by the various colors and textures from Africa. i love transforming  the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Did you miss your chance to meet Mozart Dane at Art On the Lawn? 

Don't worry.  He had such a doggone good time that he's decided to visit us again.

Join us Friday for our reception for the Dog Daze of Summer show going on at Village Artisans.

Reception August 19, 2011  6pm - 9pm

Join us for some fun and refreshments.

Get a second chance to meet Mozart and learn how he creates his paintings. 

You'll also get the opportunity to peruse other pooch inspired works by our own artisans.

Dog Daze of Summer

Has the summer heat got you feeling down?   

Why not come celebrate the Dog Daze of Summer with Village Artisans? The entire month of August we will be exhibiting work highlighting Man's Best Friend. This year as an extra special treat we will also be exhibiting works by Mozart Dane.

Mozart is dog that paints with his paws to help the Harlequin Haven Great Dane Rescue. And yes, he really does paint the canvases himself.  

Mozart is also one of our featured artists, at this year's Art On the Lawn, which is August 13th from 10 am - 5p.   You can come meet Mozart in person...or...um....canine.
