Having been with the artisans for almost 10 years now, I can honestly say, I think this year was my favorite. First, it felt like a bit of a homecoming for me, seeing so many familiar, friendly faces from the participating artists. I spent a good bit of the day just going around and catching up with everyone. Second, the quality of work that was on display was incredible. Third, the weather was absolutely perfect. Finally, everything ran so smoothly throughout the day. The whole atmosphere was creatively energetic, yet relaxed. There was a good shopping crowd, which was surprising given our economic times. Many of the vendors commented that even if the customers weren't buying art, they often asked questions and seemed genuinely interested in what the artists were doing. I got so much positive feed back from the exhibitors. They seemed to really appreciate all the hard work Village Artisans puts in to put on the show. Way to go team!
Congratulations to this year's Best in Show, Amy Beeler-Harmon!
