Artisans Out and About
Two of our artisans have teamed up for a special exhibit at The Winds Cafe entitled Color & Light: Brush & Needle.
From now until the end of June, you can find work from our water colorist, Libby Rudolf and our quilter, Pam Geisel.
When planning this exhibition Pam suggested to that Libby make a painting of someone quilting, while Pam created a quilt of someone painting. So they did just that. As it turns out Pam's quilt, She Paints With Fabric is 500th Quilt.
There will be an Artist Reception Sunday, May 15th from 4:30 - 6:30. If you can't make then, you have until June 30th to check out the show.

ColorfuLibby exhibit in Yellow Springs.
Village Artisan, Libby Rudolf , has a art show coming up. ColorfuLibby - Watercolors for CFI will be at the Yellow Springs Brewery from Dec 23, 2015 - Feb. 1, 2016. The theme of the artwork comes from many walks in Glen Helen Nature Preserve and along the river here in Yellow Springs, explorations in other parks and the caribbean. 15 percent of proceeds will be donated to Community Food Initiatives of Athens, who work with farmers and donations to insure food security, educate people about cooking and health, run programs for youth to help them learn about raising food and seed-saving projects. Libby's daughter Melanie has interned with them and continues to volunteer. Mary Nally who runs CFI will attend the reception on Dec. 30!
The Artist Reception is on Wednesday, Dec 30, 5-7pm. Michael Brown will prepare savories from locally produced pork (Moonshadow Farm) and other goodies locally sourced. There will be cookies because Libby has to have the sweets!!! The Yellow Springs Brewery is located at 305 N Walnut St in Yellow Springs and is generally open W-Sun, 3-10pm.

Meet Libby Rudolf
I am especially fond of two quotes…
“I am conscious of expressing myself by means of light or rather in light…” Matisse
“Color is where our brain and the universe come together.” Cezanne
